Forward Axel Jonsson Fjällby has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Washington Capitals, beginning in the 2018-2019 season.
The Capitals selected Fjällby in the fifth round, 147th-overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The 6’0″, 170-pound Stockholm native was ranked 92nd overall among international skaters by NHL Central Scouting. He is also one of six Swedish players drafted by Washington since the 2012 NHL Draft.
Fjällby is scheduled to attend the 2018 Capitals Development Camp.
